CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project) is the leading global platform for environmental disclosure. More than 23,000 companies answer the Climate Change, Water Security and Forests questionnaires every year.
The scoring system runs from D- to A, assessing disclosure completeness, awareness of risks, management and leadership. Investors with US$136 trillion in assets use CDP as a source of ESG data.
In Brazil, CDP is often requested by international investors, by the ISE B3 and as a prerequisite for joining sustainability indices. The CDP score also feeds ratings such as MSCI and Sustainalytics.
