The service
O que é.
Internal carbon pricing (ICP) puts a monetary value on every tonne of CO₂e the company emits. That shadow price is used to assess investment projects, compare capex alternatives and anticipate the regulatory cost of the SBCE.
There are two main models: the shadow price (an internal price for CO₂), used in project analysis with no money actually moving, and the internal carbon fee, which charges business units and generates funding for decarbonization investments. Mangue Tech helps define which model applies.
The price is calibrated on market projections (the European ETS, the estimated SBCE, IEA and NGFS scenarios), on the company's marginal abatement cost and on the SBTi targets it has taken on. The result is a decision mechanism that internalizes carbon risk before the regulator does.
